Many people associate music from the 70s-80sexactly with the songs of the group "Blue Bird". The smash-heads of this talented team continue to sound today. But, like most other instrumental ensembles, the Blue Bird group (pictured below) has undergone substitutions in its collective.
The origin of the group
Все началось в 1972 году, когда в городе Гомеле formed VIA "Voices of Polissya". This young group, like other beginners, performed Western compositions. The team played by experienced musicians. On drums was Boris Belotserkovsky, and on keyboards - Mikhail Bolotny. The student of the music school Drozdov Sergey became the vocalist in the group, he also played the bass guitar.
After some time to this ensemblejoined saxophonist Robert, brother of the Swamp. Since he had already performed with several TIAs and had some experience, he contributed to the fact that the band traveled around the country, giving concerts.
Turning into the “Blue Bird”
In 1973, this group began work in the Gorky Philharmonic and changed its name to Sovremennik. Here they were joined by Evgenia Zavyalova, Yura Metelkin and Yura Yanin.
Осенью 1975 года Роберт договорился с директором Kuibyshev Philharmonic, that their team will move to them. On October 10, the ensemble arrives in Kuibyshev and begins its activity by taking a new name that Robert invented. From that day, the group “Blue Bird” was born, which was to become world famous.
Way of success
By the end of 1975, a smalla record with four songs on it. Among them was the "Maple" performed by the "Blue Bird". It was this song that made the group instantly popular and helped them literally spread their wings. The voice of this hit became Sergey Drozdov.
Soon, in February 1976, the ensemble set off forhis first poster concert in Togliatti. This day, February 22, is considered the birthday of the VIA. In the same year, the group "Blue Bird" held its first concert in Moscow. Zhuravel L. Ya., Who organized tours for them, became the director of the VIA.
The Blue Bird group soared into the skies andcontinuously gave concerts throughout the country. They also went to competitions in other countries, where they became laureates. For example, in 1979 they visited the Banska Bystritsa festival in the Czech Republic. Every major festival, whether in Russia or a neighboring country, has already been without Blue Bird.
This popularity was due to the fact that the teamstuck to one genre in performance. For this, only two brothers and some composers wrote songs that could catch the specifics of the group. These included Y. Antonov, S. Dyachkov, V. Dobrynin.
Period of calm
In 1991, the team went on touracross the USA. But after returning, the Blue Bird group suspended its activities, and they began to have a lull. The participants of this ensemble began to engage in their own projects. But during the period of existence of this group, 2 vinyl compilations, 8 large albums and 11 minions were created and recorded. All this bought up millions of copies.
It may be noted that the composition of the group "Blue Bird"It changed frequently, and after the original band disbanded in 1991, some of its members recruited their own musicians and created their own ensemble, each of which was called the “Blue Bird”.
Only in 1999, Marsh Robert approvedthe restoration team, which included Drozdov, Barkov, Levkin and Komarov. Since 2002, when Drozdov left the group, the composition of the ensemble began to change again. All team members write music, poetry, and sing. At the same time, Drozdov did not stop singing and gave concerts, recruiting new musicians for himself.
