Story line. The main character
Colonel Khabarov is going to retire.For many years he was the head of the operational-investigative group of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate. He managed to rise to a serious rank and gray hair. Now he decides to rest. But all his plans were destroyed because of one tragic event: a murder was committed in the yard of the house where he lives. A good friend of Khabarova and his deputy were killed. The colonel has to postpone his departure: he firmly decided to find a criminal who is suspected of being a professional killer.
From now on, Khabarov takes overinvestigation of the crime: he is convinced that only he will complete the case. And all this concerns him personally, because they were friends with the dead for many years, understanding each other perfectly.
