Voronezh Circus Truzzi
In Voronezh, the circus as an art form beganto develop relatively recently, in the nineteenth century. Until 1882, the Voronezh circus was performing, and then a huge wooden building was built on Starokonnaya Square (present-day Lenin Square). Then it was the largest building, which only cost the stable, which housed hundreds of horses.
The owner of this largest provincialThe circus was Italian M. Truzzi. Then the well-known artist A. L. Durov began his clown career. It was here that he trained animals, the first of which were the ram, rooster and pig.
Circus Cooperative Association
In 1905, a new building for the circus was built, it contained a half thousand seats and was located on the Theater Square.
In 1918, K. Faccioli, K. acted here.Gebel, A. A. Durov, G. Zerendorf, E. R. Durov, and others. They showed a show called "The Frustrated Chains, or the Triumph of the Revolution." These people organized a circus partnership and called it "Cooperative". Thus, the private Voronezh circus Truzzi was replaced by the cooperative circus association.
In 1924, on the site of a wooden old circus building, a new brick building appeared, with the inscription "State Circus", which numbered about three thousand places.
Years of War
During the war, the Voronezh circus burned down.When the Germans were driven out of the city, construction began on the wooden facade of the circus. So, on the territory of Pervomaisky garden appeared a big top with a canvas dome. It was built by the circus workers themselves, who then lived not far away in dugouts. Chapito stood here until 1972.
Voronezh State Circus
Construction of a circus in the territory of Novostroyaschythe graveyard lasted ten long years. It was conducted on the same project as in nine more cities (Russia, Ukraine), the author of which was V. Kasyan. The building was large, there were two thousand four hundred places.
In the nineties, the Voronezh circus had to be repaired, glasses and equipment were changed.
In 2008, a monument to A.L. Durov was opened on the second floor of the circus according to a draft of the national communities of Voronezh. The author of the sculpture was V. Arsenadze.
