The gray wolf is a hero of almost everyone.children's matinee. And the kids, especially boys, love to transform into this image. If your son had the honor to play the role of a toothy predator, then you need to take care of creating the appropriate costume. In this article we will tell moms and dads how to independently perform an attribute like a wolf mask. Here are two ways to make this element of the costume: from cardboard and felt. Both are fairly simple in design, but very original in appearance.
Master the mask of a forest predator (method number 1). What is needed for work?
In order to make an attribute such as a wolf mask, we will prepare the materials indicated in the following list:
- a sheet of cardboard and paper;
- PVA glue;
- scissors;
- colored paper;
- felt-tip pens, paints, pencils;
- pieces of fur;
- Scotch tape is narrow;
- elastic.

On paper, draw a sketch of the wolf "attractive face".To make both halves of the future mask symmetrical, perform only one side of it, and then fold the sheet in half and cut out two parts at once. Try on the workpiece to face the child, mark the points where there should be a slit for the eyes. Draw their contours oval or round shape and cut. Keep in mind that the attribute should not close the baby's nose, otherwise it will be difficult for him to breathe during the performance. Now transfer the resulting pattern to the cardboard and make it the basis of the mask. If your material is not gray, then at this stage paint it or paste it with colored paper of the appropriate shade.
Next, do the nose.Roll a piece of cardboard into a tube with a diameter of 4-6 cm. Glue the ends of this blank. Cover the holes with a piece cut out of the same material. Decorate the nose detail in the same way as the main part of the mask. Leave the product to dry. Next, apply one end side of the cylinder with glue and attach it to the base at the right place.
Now make out the small details:tip of the nose, teeth, inner parts of the ears, eyebrows. They can also be made in the manner of application or drawing. Cheeks, eyebrows, ears can be decorated with pieces of fur. Leave the product to dry for an hour.
The cardboard wolf mask is almost ready.It remains to attach the gum. Its length should be equal to the circumference of the back of the head of the baby (from ear to ear). On the edge of the product, in the area of the slits for the eyes, pierce the small holes. Stretch the ends of the elastic through them and tie them into knots. In order for the cardboard in the places where these fasteners are located, not to be rubbed, on the seamy side, put adhesive tape on it. The costume element is ready for operation.
Method number 2. We sew a mask from felt
To perform the following version of the wolf costume, you will need the following materials and tools:
- felt fabric in white, gray and black colors;
- paper;
- pencil;
- scissors;
- heat gun;
- elastic;
- pins;
- needle;
- thread.
Description of the process
On paper, make a sketch of the mask the samein the manner described in the previous section. Cut it along the contour and make holes for the eyes. Now with the help of pins pin the pattern on the gray felt, folded in two layers, and cut out of it two such details. We will have a double mask, this will give the product density and durability.
