Church history
According to Outreach magazine, out of 100 fast-growingAmerica's Churches Gateway Church ranks third. In 1999, Pastor Robert Morris decided to establish an evangelical church in Southlake, Texas. He consulted with the ministers of Trinity Fellowship Church, asking them for guidance and wisdom. In February 2000, a group of 30 people gathered in the house of Pastor Robert to serve and worship the Lord.
In April of the same year, the elders of TrinityFellowship Church blessed pastor Morris to create a new church, and the Hilton hosted the first service for 180 people. The church grew rapidly - in July 2001 more than 2,000 people attended the services. In May 2002, construction began on the building, and in 2003, a service was held on a campus of 700 people.
Soon it took a new room, becausethe hall could not accommodate everyone, despite the fact that several services were held on the weekend. In December 2012, over 40,000 people visited the church at Christmas. In April 2014, ministries are held in five campuses, with an average weekly attendance of 36,000.
Gateway church today
Campus upgraded in Dallas - renovatedchildren's area, open cafe and bookstore. A hall for up to 1,200 people has been built in San Francisco. In 2014, speaking at the annual conference, Robert Morris (photo in the article) noticed that the campus in Fort Werto was “bursting at the seams” and could not accommodate everyone. Today, the new room is ready to accept weekly up to 6000 people. There are currently 6 campuses in the Gateway Church where services are held.

- A branch of The King's University in Southlakeannually prepares more than 300 graduates who are ready to work in the church and beyond.
