The first tandyr was made closed. It's easy to make by yourself. To do this, you need to excavate a pit up to 50 cm, lay it with dried clay bricks 13-15 cm wide, and at the bottom dig a hole for air - that's all.
Today, the vertical tandyr is up to 1.5 m tall. To make a "terrestrial" tandoor by yourself, it will take about half a month.
First find the clay. From its properties will depend on the durability of the future furnace. The kaolin clay is light yellow in color. It is resistant and withstands high temperatures.
Required materials: water, clay, sheep, sheep or camel (for ligament and heat), sand.
How to make a tandoor by yourself - the first way
Roll out clay mass, cut into shortstripes of 20 cm wide, roll them into narrow tubes with a radius of 4-6 cm. We spread them around in a circle, the level behind the tier (according to the scheme of brickwork), clamp and pinch. The height should be 45-55 cm, diameter 50-60 cm, the thickness of the walls - up to 5 cm, with a thickening to the bottom to 10 cm. In the lower part we leave the window 15 by 10 cm for cleaning the furnace and air circulation. We select a cover wooden or metal. Tandoor is ready!
How to make a tandoor by yourself. The second way
It is more complex and requires experience. Standard size: height 1-1,5 m, diameter up to 1 m. It resembles a matryoshka in structure. These are three designs inserted one into the other, which provides good traction.
Step-by-step guidance:
1. Mix the clay with water, roll it out. Mix well. You can trample your feet. For the strength of the composition, we must add wool.
2. Get down to work the next day. From the mixture, create a tandoor on the foundation, in the form of a cylinder or cone. The thickness of the walls is 5-7 cm. From the inside, we press the ball, from the outside we press it with a wooden spatula. Similarly, we make two more skeletons bigger in size.
3. Raise, lay firewood, kindle. While they are burning, we bring to perfection the form.
4. We give time to dry the clay.
5.We put on the first basis the second workpiece, a little more. Formed intervals are filled with sand, compacted and plastered. After 2 hours, put a third. We make rims, connecting all three bases together.
6. Calculate the tandoor in the sun for 7 to 15 days, depending on the weather conditions. It is important! Without drying, the tandoor will burst at the first arson of firewood.
7. We wipe the tandoor from inside with cotton oil. Within a day we sink, constantly raising the temperature. After such firing, the clay will not remain on the test.
Now you know how to make a tandoor by yourself. Go ahead and get down to work. And your tandoor, made with your own hands, will delight you with tasty, aromatic dishes.
Let's make cakes. For safety, we put on gloves. We fall asleep logs in tandoor. We are waiting for the fire to burn and warm up to 400 degrees. Then we shovel the coals into the center of the furnace. The inside of the cake is moistened with a saline solution. Using a round pillow, gently but quickly fasten it. Periodically sprinkle water to form steam. We pull out when the cakes are browned. Bon Appetit!
