A concrete structure or screed made in the courtyard often has to be protected from external exposure to moisture, frost and sun.
Therefore, the question arises, how tostrengthen the outer layer of the specified material, make it moisture-resistant, durable and durable. To do this, use such a special technology, as iron concrete. This process is in many cases necessary during construction.
The quality of this process depends oncompliance with certain requirements and, above all, should not allow drying of the upper layer of this material. Before ironing it should be wet and not be exposed to direct sunlight.
There are two ways to do this.protective coating. The first is the ironing of concrete with sieve sieve cement. This is the “dry” method of this process. There is also a “wet” method - sieved with cement diluted with water with the addition of liquid glass or sodium aluminate. Other impurities and additives that may improve moisture resistance and durability of the coating may also be present in the mixture.
In the first case, using dry cement, you canstrength add powder from quartz. In this way, ironing of concrete on horizontal surfaces is performed. At the same time, the cement is poured into a fine sieve and sprinkled evenly on freshly laid concrete, tapping on the sieve. The specified layer should be within three millimeters.
Another method is used on surfaces from whichdry cement may fall. In this case, use the "wet" method. To do this, it is necessary to sift the cement into the container first and prepare the mixture by adding water and various strengthening impurities and moisture-proof components.
The wet method is considered more waterproof and durable. It can also be used on the horizontal planes of fresh concrete. This method is the most effective.
If the concrete is ironed in a place where direct sunlight is possible, then it is better to plan the work so that it is done after sunset, in the evening.
