Device

Principle of operation

The mechanism begins to function whenmagnetic elements are activated. This occurs during the energizing of the housing and the winding through the core. Only 5 watts of voltage is enough to connect doors with a weight of up to 150 kg.

Turning the lock on and off generatesoscillatory circuit with an alternating current acting on it. Charging is by means of a capacitor through the winding, resulting in a change in the magnetic polarity. The residual current goes to the magnetization reversal. It happens that the capacitor breaks down. Then the door opens with considerable effort. It can be eliminated only by replacing the part, while installing it must be parallel to the terminals.

There are electromagnetic locks by the type of the locking device:

• Holders.
• Shifting.

In the shifting device, the magnet is fixed with the tongue of the lock, so such structures are to be inserted in the door or the gate.

In the retention variant, the magnet holds the flaps that open. Along the whole perimeter of the opening it is allowed to install several such elements.

Mounting Tools

The installation of an electromagnetic lock is not an easy task, so it can be done on its own. To do this, you need the following tools:

• Pencil to apply the necessary labels for installation.
• Drill. If you are installing a mortise structure, then under it you need to drill holes for fixing bolts.
• Screwdriver or screwdriver.
• Hammer and chisel.

Start of installation

• When it is necessary for the door to open towards the lock, its pad and plate are fixed in a vertical position with the help of corners.

Next, you need to make a niche in the installation site.This is done with milk and chisels. Optional equipment

These elements are installed indoors, but the reader is mounted from the outside. Additional devices are attached to the wall adjacent to the door, but not to its canvas.

• to install and fix instruments.

Connectivity

The video intercom is connected to the lock, as well as other elements, through the controller. In this case, a four-wire cable is already used. When connecting a video intercom, follow these steps:

• Make the power connection from the doorphone to the controller.
• Additionally, connect the lock and the controller to allow the locking mechanism to be opened using a video intercom.
• Connect the panel to the controller.

Lock control capabilities

All control of the electromagnetic lock is made using the controller.

That, in turn, has the following functions:

• signaling the opening of the lock;
• power supply for fixing the locking mechanism;
• key coding.

Already before using the lock, you must configure all the keys. This is done as follows:

• When you first connect the key that comes in the kit, bring to the controller.
• The controller must be transferred to the recording mode by means of a jumper.
• After that, the remaining keys are brought to the reader and programmed.
• The controller must be put into operation.

When all keys are prepared, the lock will automatically lock, and you can open it with one of the sets of ready-made keys.

Lock on the gate

Installation of an electromagnetic lock on the gate can be carried out independently. This will require the same set of tools as for mounting on the door. The sequence of actions is as follows:

• Holes of smaller diameter than screws are drilled in the metal frame of the gate.
• The fastening of the lock is carried out by screws.
• The reciprocal plate on a gate of a gate is fixed.
• The wires from the reading device pass through the far wicket case, while securing the device on the fence or wicket door.
• The controller is installed at a convenient distance and in place so that it is convenient to continue to read the keys from it.
• On the inner side of the gate is set the opening button.
