This is not surprising, because in our country a large number of rivers and lakes are enough to worry about a possible drought. But in vain. Drip irrigation allows you to save not only water, but also time. This way of watering plants has already become the main one in countries where there is a deficit of fresh water. To make drip irrigation by oneself - the task is not so complicated, because the prototype of this system was the well-known medical dropper.
The essence of the method
Agronomists have long studied how much waterit is necessary for this or that kind of plant. To reduce water consumption and to provide crops with the necessary amount of moisture, drip irrigation will help. The scheme is quite simple: pipes are laid along each row of the plant, each of them has a number of holes, drippers are inserted into the holes, supplying the life-giving moisture directly to the roots of each plant. Thus, irrigation is carried out. This irrigation system has one more important advantage: since moisture is directed only to the roots of the plant you choose, the weeds do not receive the proper amount of water and, as a result, grow worse. How to make drip irrigation yourself?
Method number 1
This method is ideal for irrigation of chaotically planted trees. In order to provide irrigation of the tree, you will need:
- pipe section;
- a tube from a dropper;
- capacity - a can of water.
First you need to dig small holes(pits) depth not more than half a meter and a diameter of not more than 20 centimeters. Shafts should be placed under the periphery of the tree crown. The pier is filled up to the middle with small stones, in this layer we slightly deepen the length of the pipe. Next, the layer is covered with a film, leaving a cutout under the pipe. After this, the hole must be buried with earth so that a piece of pipe protrudes above the surface. Near the pit is installed a container of water, into which one end of the tube from the dropper descends. The other end is lowered into a pipe protruding from the ground. All. You have drip irrigation yourself!
Method number 2
For irrigation using this method, you only needflexible tubes from droppers and a barrel with water. A barrel is installed half a meter above the ground. A piece of foam with holes is dropped into it, through which tubes are passed. Next, each tube is fed to the plant. Everything is simple enough. For watering plants, warm water is used from the top layer. By the way, in a similar way, you can organize and fertilizing plants. Hang a bucket (or a five-liter bottle) in the crown of the tree with the fertilizer dissolved in the water, install the tube from the dropper and point it to the roots of the tree. That's all. You just have to make sure that the water in the tanks you have installed does not run out.
