First of all, the difference between TsIATIM-221 and 201 lies in their composition, which, in principle, already speaks about the difference in the spheres of their use.

The lower operating temperature range for these lubricants is the same: -60 degrees Celsius. But the upper limit of TsIATIM-201 is only 90 degrees.

CIATIM-201 lubricant has found its application in the friction units of aircraft, landing gear or aircraft bearing systems. It is used very actively for processing and ground-based equipment, which is operated at low temperatures, most often in the Far North. This is one of the main differences between CIATIM 201 and 221. The moisture resistance of this substance is high, but due to the low consistency and low stickiness, it can be easily removed from the exposed surface by any mechanical force. It is also important to note that when storing a unique substance, oil is released, which degrades its performance. It is also worth noting that the colloidal stability of this tool is low. It is this lubricant that can be operated for 700 hours in the control system nodes, and in lightly loaded nodes it retains its qualities for up to 1500 hours.
CIATIM-221: GOST
This lubricant should be producedestablished rules that are spelled out in GOST 9433-80. This document defines the technical requirements for the production process and for the product already received, safety, acceptance rules, test methods, packaging, transportation, storage, labeling and manufacturer's guarantees.
From the technical requirements we can distinguish the following:
- the appearance of the lubricant should have the appearance of an ointment with a smooth and uniform structure from light yellow to light brown;
- the effective viscosity of the substance obtained should not exceed 800 Pa / s, at a temperature of -50 degrees Celsius;
- The ultimate strength of a lubricant at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius should be at least 120 Pa;
- the dropping point of the lubricant should not be lower than 200 degrees Celsius;
- the substance must not contain water;
- the material must withstand corrosive effects on metals;
- evaporation of the composition at a temperature of 150 degrees should not exceed 2% within an hour.
It should be noted that such a GOST does not set the price for CIATIM-221.
