The mounting block is installed on the left sidecar in the air intake box and serves to provide switching of interconnected circuits of various electrical equipment systems. In its plastic housing are printed circuit boards, which through current-carrying tracks contact the plug-in pins of the connecting pads. Each of them has a number of jumpers and switching relays, due to which the inclusion of various electronic systems of any car. In addition, fuse holders are also installed here, which, depending on the parameters and load of the circuit, are designed for a current of 8 or 16 amperes.
In the case when one of the chains arisesoverload or short circuit, the protective insert of the corresponding fuse blows. In other words, the mounting block allows to prevent damage to the devices or wires of the car. If such a malfunction occurs, the insert that has burned out must be replaced with a new one.
Maintenance of the mounting block
In order to ensure a long and reliableservice of an electric equipment of the car, it is very important to watch that the connecting blocks are securely fastened. Due to the fact that the mounting blocks have a transparent cover, it is not so difficult to control. It also indicates the numbers and purpose of fuses and relays. If the performance of any of the systems is disturbed, it is first recommended to check how well the corresponding wiring harness kits are securely connected, as well as the integrity of the safety insert. During the check of the electrical equipment, the terminals and wires that are under voltage must not be shorted to ground in any case. Otherwise, the live tracks that contain the mounting block may burn out.
Dismantling and assembly of the assembly unit
In most cases, the repair of this node is reducedto replace the circuit boards. In order to disassemble the box, first remove the cover and remove the fuses, jumpers and relays from the sockets. Then loosen the fixing screws and remove the upper part. After that, the PCB assembly can be removed from the bottom of the housing. Assemble the car assembly unit in reverse order.
Repairs
When the slightest cracks appear on the boardsneed to be changed to new ones. It is very important to monitor the fastening of the inserts, and in case of weakening it is necessary to bend the holders. Inserts that have burned out must be replaced with those that correspond to the maximum possible current. Otherwise, they may burn out. In no case can you install in the car's mounting block extraneous elements or self-made inserts. The worst result in this case may be the fire of wires in the harness. When installing the box in the machine, do not forget about the use of a special gasket, which will ensure the integrity of the joints around the perimeter of the housing.
