Over the past decade xenon lighting forvehicles gaining more fans. This is not surprising, because xenon headlights consume relatively little energy, and the road in the dark is much better than all the others.
In addition to practical use, auto andmotorists made xenon part of tuning. In particular, to improve the appearance of motorcycles and scooters, it is used quite extensively with accessories such as “angel eyes”. With proper combination, it gives the appearance of a scooter or bike aggressive and expressive appearance.
But still the main task of xenon headlights - light the way. It is difficult to overestimate the value of a good low and high beam, because it can prevent an accident.
In the motorcycle xenon has long ceased to be considered a wonder. Moreover, many manufacturers still at the factory complete their models with xenon headlights.
Scooters are less fortunate in this regard - most models of the middle price segment are forced to light their way with regular 35-watt light bulbs.
Therefore, many owners of scooters are concerned about the issueabout whether to install xenon on a scooter. Of course, many difficulties are connected with this, starting with the price of the issue. However, there is hardly any need to be frightened by the considerable cost of branded lamps, which sometimes can reach several hundred dollars. It is better to find a budget option.
Of course, one can hardly imagine that someonewill decide to put Chinese xenon on a premium motorcycle. However, for a bike easier, a moped or a scooter, a kit made by China or Korea is quite suitable. Such lighting is inexpensive, but, as many experts say, it has quite good quality (even in comparison with its much more expensive counterparts).
Those who decided to acquire such headlights and have already installed xenon on a scooter, note a number of advantages in comparison with ordinary headlights:
1) The light of the xenon lamp is twice as bright as the standard headlight of the scooter.
2) The life of xenon lamps is almost 11 times longer.
3) Passive safety.
4) Light xenon spectrum closer to the sun, which means that during a long trip in the dark, the driver's eyes will be tired much less.
5) Serviceable xenon lamps almost do not heat up and do not harm the optics.
It would seem that everything is obvious. However, there are several arguments against choosing a xenon scooter:
1) Installing such lighting also requires an ignition unit, for which you will need to find a place.
2) All electric equipment of the scooter needs to be redone, otherwise it will not be possible to achieve maximum performance of xenon lamps.
3) The main part of the work will be under the force of an electrician, and this will entail additional costs.
Before you install xenon on a scooter, you must carefully check the condition of the reflectors, cleanliness and tightness of the headlights.
