It is believed that such weapons are difficult to inflict serious injury, but at the same time its actions are enough to stop the attacker. Moreover, the impact on the attacker is not only due to the shooting at him, but also by demonstrating weapons that look like combat. From here, the practice of making “injuries” in the form of copies of real combat pistols has become widespread. And now on sale, you can easily find a famous model of weapons, made as a traumatic gun.
Revolver or pistol
Features and differences in the design of individualtypes of military weapons were inherited by their copies, which seriously affected the characteristics of traumatic weapons. Thus, the endless argument about what is best: a pistol or a revolver, won in general by supporters of automatic pistols, got its continuation. Traumatic revolver or traumatic pistol? The arguments of each side are the same as those cited for military weapons. In favor of the gun speaks its ergonomics, high power, roomy magazine and high reload speed. The traumatic revolver, in turn, is simple and safe to use, always ready to fire and has 100% fire reliability. A misfire will not be an obstacle for the next shot.
Yet due to design featuresa traumatic revolver can only use relatively weak cartridges and, consequently, its effectiveness is lower than that of a pistol. Hence the conclusion: if the maximum lethality is necessary, then a pistol should be chosen, and if reliability and aesthetics are important, then, of course, a traumatic revolver. Why did we mention aesthetics? There are just few people who would not find the elegant forms of a revolver attractive. And for most owners, the appearance of their weapons means far more than their effectiveness. After all, you have to use it or not, it is not known, but you have to hold it in your hands often, so I would like it to be nice.
Traumatic revolver and ammunition
Revolver cartridges differ from pistol cartridges.constructively. Their sleeve has a protruding flange, with which the cartridge is fixed in the drum. Thanks to this feature, as well as the length of the chamber, these cartridges are very versatile, and any traumatic revolver can shoot them, so long as the caliber is appropriate. The most affordable and well-proven is the cartridge 380 IU GUM. It is produced by several domestic firms, but varies in capacity. The strongest 380 IU GUM cartridge is produced by AKBS, its muzzle energy being 50 Joules. However, now you can find drum systems and under the pistol cartridge 9 mm RA, for example, the traumatic revolver "Thunderstorm". The price of ammunition and weapons does not depend on its system, therefore it cannot be one of the reasons for the choice.
