Surely many people who are not familiar with football,they may think that Santiago Munez is some famous footballer. That's right, it is. That's just it is fictional. This is the main character of the movie called Goal !, entirely devoted to the football theme.
The plot of the first part: the beginning
“Goal!” Is a wonderful trilogy.Naturally, the best, as always, was the first part. In any case, many critics and amateurs think so. The role of a footballer named Santiago Munez is performed by the young Mexican actor Cuno Becker, who perfectly managed to get into the role.
And the plot is as follows.Santiago Munez is an amateur soccer player from the poorest Mexican family who illegally immigrated to Los Angeles. Since childhood, he is a fan of football. The boy grew up and began working as an assistant waiter in a Chinese restaurant. In parallel, he helped his father in his private business. Besides him, the younger brother, grandmother and father live in the house.
Santiago Munez plays for the amateur team.And during one of the training sessions, he is noticed by a scout from FC Newcastle United - Glen Foy. He was impressed by the game of the young football player. And so he made him a serious offer - to go to view in Newcastle and try a chance to play in the English Premier League. This, of course, did not approve of the strict and harsh father of the guy. Moreover, he stole from his son the money that he had been postponing for so long. Santiago Munez has already lost hope. However, the grandmother, knowing that the dream is dearer to him, bought her grandson a plane ticket to England. And here begins the most interesting ...
The development of the plot
At the first training session, Santiago failed - heweather conditions (rain and slush) and physical training of other players were beyond the strength of the team. The young man despaired. However, Glen Von said that he had a talk with the head coach, and he will be given a chance to show himself exactly one month later.

Second and third parts
There are two more films.In the second “Gol” tells how Santiago moved to Madrid “Real”. There he begins to play with such world football stars as Raul, David Beckham, Roberto Carlos, Zinedine Zidane, Iker Casillas and Ronaldo. But Munez overcomes star fever. And, being a famous player of the most popular club on the planet, he completely forgets about those who are really dear to him. Inspired by the beautiful life, he completely forgot about his beloved Rose and about his family.
In parallel, the brother Santee, whom hedid not even know. But it turns out that they are really from the same mother. Newly brother Enrique hijacks “Lamborghini” Santiago and smashes it, crashing into the fountain. It manages to photograph the paparazzi, but Munez breaks his camera.
But in the end he copes with everything. They win the Champions League with the team, and the film ends with the success of “Real”.
In the third part of Santiago does not appear.A different plot is already unfolding there, and the main characters are English players named Leo and Charlie. They participate in the filming of an episodic scene of one film, but then they are suddenly offered to feel in the 2006 World Championship. That's where it all starts.
In general, the films are not bad. And Santiago Munez is a very colorful and bright character, whose role the actor who played him really well coped with.
