Vladimir Holstinin (guitarist and co-founder of the band) and Vitaly Dubinin (bass guitar, backing vocals) became such a “frame”, a core for “Aria”. If Vladimir Holstinin is the only permanent member of the team and the author of most of the songs, then what is the merit of Vitaly Dubinin before the famous rock band?
Short biography of Vitaly Dubinin
Dubinin Vitaly Alekseevich was born inVnukovo district of Moscow on October 9, 1958. Back in school, Vitaly mastered playing drums and bass guitar, performed with a school music group. In 1975, at the Moscow Energy Institute (MEI), Dubinin met Vladimir Holstinin. After changing several bands, including “Magic Twilight”, “Alphabet” and “Alpha”, in 1987 Vitaly replaced the bass player Alik Granovsky who had left Aria. From that moment on, Vitaly did not leave the group, remaining a loyal companion to Holstein.
The role of Vitaly Dubinin in the activities of the group "Aria"
Well, besides professional performanceof bass lines, did Vitaliy Dubinin for the band? “Aria”, thanks to his composer talent, was delivered by such famous compositions as “The Shard of Ice”, “The Street of Roses”, “Calm” and “The Hero of Asphalt”. These songs are most often remembered by fans of rock music when it comes to the group "Aria". Colleagues in the workshop note the value of Vitali as a remarkable melody player who is able to adapt the foreign genre of metal music to the Russian audience. Among other things, Dubinin's good vocal data did not go unnoticed - the bassist, along with the then vocalist of the group Valery Kipelov, sang the part in the song “Torture by silence”, also decorated his voice with the compositions “Blood of Kings”, “Phoenix” and “Battlefield”.
Project "Accident"
In 1997 Vladimir Holstinin and Vitaliy Dubininthey released an acoustic album, which included re-arranged compositions by the group “Aria”, as well as two songs by Dubinin - “Horror and Fear” and “Such is Sadness”, which were not previously included in the “Aryan” repertoire. Vitaly noted more than once that all the songs he wrote for “Aria” were originally born in an acoustic version, and only then Vladimir Holstinin made “heavy” arrangements, however for these songs Vladimir was not able to find a spectacular “heavy” form, therefore they remained in their original guitar version. Vocal parts in all compositions were also performed by Vitaliy Dubinin. The songs, both new and re-arranged, were warmly received by the public, and Vitaly still performs them at New Year's concerts. The name "Accident" is a comic reference to the "parent" team.
Preferences in music and attitude to Russian rock
