In 2009, a movie came out that turnedthe third in the franchise of the cult American-Canadian series - "Stargate: Universe". The actors were tasked with creating a tense psychological drama. And although to some viewers this attempt seemed far-fetched, the result was an excellent film about human relationships in the background of the cosmic surroundings.
Story line
The plot of the whole history of the existence of some Stargate built by the ancients in the most unexpected places of the universe. Through them you can get to another dimension or to a planet that is a few light-years away from Earth. They permeate almost all the infinite space of space, but the trouble is that modern people do not always know how to control them, and that they are waiting on the other side of the gate. Getting on different planets, getting acquainted with other races, people try to unravel the plan of the ancients who started this whole experiment.
The first two Stargate world shows attracteda huge number of science fiction fans with exciting adventures and impressive special effects. The premiere of the third part shocked many of them. At first glance, nothing fundamentally changed, the content is still based on space exploration. A group of people, consisting of scientists, civilians and military is locked in an ancient spacecraft under the significant name "Fate". None of them knows how to control it, but one thing is clear - it is moving in the opposite direction from the Earth. Soon they understand that the ship has its own purpose, and even, perhaps, its own mind, it is he who chooses who will be its commander. In a closed space, not knowing where they will be, people must learn to survive in an extreme situation by joining forces. But each of the participants in this forced expedition is not the one for whom he claims to be, each pursues his own goal.

Stargate: The Universe, TV series. Actors and roles that change ideas about the genre
Главная особенность героев этого фильма — ambiguity of characters. There is not a single frankly positive or negative character. From series to series, the line of image of each of them is smoothly unwound. That is why the actors of the series “Stargate: Universe” were chosen with special care.
The main pride was Robert Carlisle, who played the role of Nicholas Rush and masterfully embodied the complex character of his hero. This is an outstanding scientist, obsessed with the idea of space exploration, because of which part of the team considers him crazy. But the other half, consisting of civilians, chose their leader. The difficult psychological state of Nicholas is aggravated by feelings about the recent death of his wife.
The role of Everett Young, Rush's main rival, performed by Louis Ferreira. Providing mutual understanding between civilians and the military, he is in fact the captain of a starship. Matthew Scott, played by stage actor Brian Smith, helps him in this. A young, ambitious lieutenant, he is absolutely confident in the power of justice and team spirit. However, events on the ship make him understand that he is not ready for much in life.
Elise Leveque so brilliantly tried two verydifferent and difficult scenes that the producers had no doubt - the role of the daughter of Senator Armstrong Chloe must be taken exactly her. The loss of her father hardened the character of her heroine, but nonetheless being in a space trap turned out to be a difficult test for her too.
Comedy film center - Eli Wallace. A young scientist, hiding a low self-esteem for a kind of sense of humor. The role played by actor David Blue.
