Slot grid: types and purpose

To effectively ventilate the room, solve a lot of problems, among which a competent air distribution is one of the main. Slot grating is used in air distribution systems in public and industrial premises. Due to its low-key design, it can be completely invisible and not spoil the interior. As a rule, the grid is solid and flat, but, depending on the design, a construction with sidewalls is possible.

Appointment

The slotted ventilation grille has a highdegree of induction, suitable for the supply and removal of cold and warm air, with the temperature difference quickly equalized. Widely used in ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems of various types of residential and industrial premises with a ceiling height of 2.5 to 4 m.

The same device is installed indoorswith strict requirements for comfort and hygiene, for example, in hospital wards. The main functions of such grids are the uniform distribution of air from the ventilation or heating system throughout the room, as well as the removal of air in the opposite direction, from the room to the ventilation. Ventilation systems, and, consequently, the slotted grid, are in great demand, and often not from personal preferences, but according to fire safety requirements.

Types of slot gratings

There are three main types of slotted gratings:

  • ARS - supply gratings slit regulating, designed for the supply and uniform distribution of air in rooms of various types through ventilation and air conditioning systems with a constant and variable air flow. Ensure a steady flow of air in the cooling mode. They are equipped with perforated shutters and rotary blinds for regulating airflow in the range from 25 to 100%.
  • ALS - air inlet unregulated slotted grid, without rotary blinds.
  • ABC - exhaust grilles without flaps and blinds.

These structures can have a complex T-shapedor angular shape. Supply gratings are used in combination with static pressure chambers (KSD). The exhaust slotted grille ABC is installed in the kit with the air flow regulator (DAC). For controlled supply grids, the use of the DAC is impractical, since the air flow is controlled by means of dampers and shutters. All grilles are mounted according to the level of the false ceiling, joining the air ducts.

Design

Щелевая решетка состоит алюминиевого корпуса, на which are horizontal holes in the number from 1 to 6. Inside the case is mounted a cylindrical roller, by means of which the direction of the air flow is regulated.

As a rule, slot gratings are used withstatic pressure chambers (KSD), which allow to stabilize the flow and regulate the air flow. The width of the slots varies from 8 to 25 mm. The length of the grating can be from 2 cm to 3 m (if necessary, set-up structures are used, which allows them to be mounted in a line of any shape).

Slotted gratings are characterized by a high degreeinduction, excellent aerodynamic qualities and attractive design. These devices allow you to quickly heat air flows, reduce the noise level of the ventilation system, eliminate drafts and form stagnant zones. They are installed in suspended ceilings or wall structures, practically not noticeable in the interior. The minimum installation height is 2.5 m.

Lattice cast iron slit

A separate kind of devices not related toventilation or air conditioning, - cast iron gratings used in drainage systems. Such gratings are part of the exterior of a certain area with a surface drainage. They are made of cast iron, close to steel strength, and can be used even in areas with automobile traffic and load of 25 tons per square meter. They cover drainage trays made of concrete, plastic, polymer concrete, other materials. Manufactured by injection molding with a different load class.

These grids protect the storm sewers andother surface drainage systems from blockages. They are indispensable in the spring, when, after melting snow, a variety of debris flows into the drainage channels: soil, branches, leaves and other debris (all this is delayed by cast iron drainage grids).
